Madison Park ~Search Homes
Madison Park is a neighborhood in east central Seattle named after the city park at the foot of E. Madison Street on the Lake Washington waterfront. The district runs along Lake Washington to the east; the south border is E. Prospect Street, beyond which is Denny-Blaine; on the west by 38th and 37th Avenues E., beyond which are Washington Park and the private Broadmoor community and golf course; and on the north by Union Bay.
Historically, Madison Park used to be a popular destination for people who lived in Downtown Seattle. Though very close to the city center, it was seen as a summer getaway, with a cable car leading over the hills to the lake, park, and swimming beach.
Today Madison Park has a number of restaurants, including Sostanza (Italian), The Attic Alehouse, Mad Pizza, Madison Park Bakery, Cactus (Mexican and Southwestern food), and Bing's (American fare).
The quality of Madison Park home construction and architecture all contribute to making Madison Park a desirable luxury home neighborhood. Madison Park waterfront homes on Lake Washinton have a wide variety of styles of architecture. Madison Park waterfront homes often have private docks for launching a kayak or docking your private boat. The sunrise over the lake makes for spectacular views of Mt. Rainier.
