    Downtown Seattle ~Search

Downtown Seattle real estate has dramatically changed. Once nearly empty at night, Downtown Seattle is becoming a 24 hr neighborhood for those who choose to live in the heart of the city. New Downtown Seattle condos springing up include some of the most deluxe luxury condos anywhere in town. Many Downtown Seattle luxury view condos have panoramic Mt. Rainier, city, Sound and Olympic Mountain views, making for spectacular sunsets over the Puget Sound.

An example of Downtown Seattle luxury condos are homes built in conjunction with a hotel. These Downtown Seattle condos have 24-hour room service, maid services, and valet parking. It’s the equivalent of owning a suite in a hotel.

At the core of downtown Seattle is a revitalized shopping district consisting of about 16 city blocks. The retail area, transformed in the 1990’s by a series of redevelopment projects, includes many boutique shops and larger destinations such as Nordstrom’s flagship store and the upscale Pacific Place shopping center.

The tallest building in the city and the Pacific Northwest is the 76-story, 1.5 million-square foot Bank of America Tower, at Fifth Avenue and Columbia Street.

The downtown waterfront, dotted with piers, offers stunning views of Elliott Bay and, on clear days, the Olympic Mountains. This area includes restaurants, offices, the Seattle Aquarium and the Bell Street Pier cruise ship terminal. The Port of Seattle has its headquarters at Pier 69.

Just east of the waterfront is the world-famous Pike Place Market, known to locals as simply “The Market.” The historic facility dates to 1907 and attracts an estimated 9 million visitors a year. An eclectic mix of farmers, craftspeople and merchants occupies its booth and retail spaces.

Downtown Seattle is also a hub for culture and art with the Seattle Art Museum, Benaroya Hall, home of the Seattle Symphony and the Seattle Art Museum known as SAM.

Downtown Seattle real estate ranges from smaller condos, in the studio to one-bedroom range up to Downtown Seattle Penthouse Suites with huge view decks and swimming pools. Now some Seattle historic lofts are available as well. Many residents find walking to shopping and restaurants one of the biggest benefits of living in Downtown Seattle.
